A state-funded tuition program for working adults interested in pursuing education and training opportunities while working and raising a family.
These awards reduce the out-of-state tuition rate to the in-state rate. Western New Mexico University offers waivers for Out-of-State students from Arizona, Colorado, and El Paso, TX giving the student In-state tuition rates. WNMU also offers a discounted rate to 1.5 times the resident tuition rate to students that live in states that participate in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program. There are a limited number of waivers and a priority list. Your Student Support Specialist can provide you with more information.
You must fill out a Federal Student Aid application to qualify for any scholarships provided by WNMU’s Financial Aid Office.
Federal and New Mexico State Work-Study are “self-help” financial aid that allows you to earn part of your college expenses by working at an approved student employment job
